105 kg Olympic Weightlifter
After being raised in Kansas City, MO, Ethan was introduced to strength athletics as a young powerlifter in high school, succeeding in several meets in his short career. After high school, he attended Rockhurst University, where he studied chemistry. During this time, he was introduced to Olympic weightlifting through Crossfit under coach Aaron Axmear at Crossfit Lee's Summit. After realizing his potential in the sport of weightlifting, he switched from crossfit to being a full-time Olympic weightlifter. After graduating with a B.S. in chemistry from Rockhurst in May 2013, Ethan moved to Bloomington, IN where he recently earned a M.S. in Materials Chemistry from Indiana University. At this time, Ethan currently trains out of Stonebreaker Athletics in Bloomington.
