** This RAD Yoga session will take place in-person. The city of Durham, NC is requiring the use of face masks for indoor events for everyones safety.

 

What can you expect with in-person courses now?

Designed for wellness and movement professionals (but appropriate for anyone seeking to deepen their yoga practice), RAD Yoga 1 sets the foundation to intelligently and skillfully integrate and sequence self myofascial release (SMR) into a yoga class and/or at-home, self-care sessions. It not only covers the most current techniques and research surrounding the nervous system, muscles, fascia, and human movement, it also includes online access to a host of electronic resources that you'll have lifetime access.

This training involves 2 components: online and in-person. The online material consists of videos on fascia, self myofascial release, and RAD yoga tools. The 10-hour in-person class involves practical application.

AIRPORT AND HOTEL 

The closest airport is Raleigh-Durham International airport (RDU).

Some of the closest hotels near the training venue are:

   • Hilton Garden InnDurham/University Medical Center; closest to the training venue

   • Residence Inn by Marriott Durham McPherson; free shuttle available if scheduled in advance; about 0.5 miles away

 

WHAT TO BRING

   •Face mask for safety in case needed

   • Water bottle

   • Yoga mats will be provided or you can bring your own

   • Pen/pencil, notepad if desired. You will be provided the course manual in PDF format

   • Wear comfortable clothing that does not restrict movement

   • There are restaurants close by but you may bring a packed lunch if you prefer

 

TRANSPORTATION

We recommend car rental or Uber/Lyft. 

 

CANCELLATIONS

Please email Roy@radroller.com if you wish to cancel your registration. Note that we schedule travel and instructor time based on the number of registrants well in advance.

Any registration cancellation must be received at least 4 weeks prior to the course date and all cancellations are subject to a $50 fee. Refunds cannot be issued for no-shows.

Attendee substitutions are allowed.

 

ABOUT YOUR MASTER COACH

Allie Geer is a RAD Yoga Master Coach, Yoga Medicine® Registered Therapeutic Specialist, RYT 500 and RPYT based in Boulder, Colorado. She specializes in myofascial release and prenatal yoga and leads YTTs, workshops, group classes and private lessons on line and in person.

Those of you who lead sessions in yoga, personal training, group fitness classes, physical therapy, and more will become certified in being able to utilize these skills and techniques in your own health and fitness programs.
