Foundations of Myofascial Release and Recovery; Assessments And Interventions For Efficient Movement

Continuing Education Credits: 18 hours total

RAD YOGA

Foundations Of Myofascial Release And Asana

Continuing Education Credits: 10 hours

Do your students want to enhance their mobility and reduce injuries? Would you like to help them achieve optimal results with their movements, balance, and tension-release efforts?

Practice the most current mobility and recovery techniques and how to incorporate them into your yoga classes. RAD Yoga dives into how to communicate with the nervous system so it can elicit the changes we seek in a safe and controlled environment. Which techniques and tools are most appropriate for the warm up, cool down, and even a mid-class recovery session? What are the most efficient cueing techniques to use in classes?

  • Discuss current theories and effects of self myofascial release (SMR) and why it works.
  • Integrate SMR and asanas designed for specific Scan different regions of the body applying one or more of the three RAD SMR techniques with the appropriate tool. and mobility conditions.
  • Articulate the importance of how much force is required to elicit change and in what direction that force need be applied.
  • Practice landmarking and sequencing within asanas.
  • Describe the difference between mobility and flexibility.
  • Discuss and practice effective student cueing techniques.
  • Utilize specific SMR techniques in the warm up and cool down that have a positive effect on the nervous system and mobility.

Foundations Of Golf Mobility And Assessment

Continuing Education Credits: 5-7 hours
