As a personal trainer, yoga teacher and corrective exercise specialist RAD is my go to! I use it multiple times daily with my clients and for my personal SMR needs. I never leave town without at least one!”

Loosen Up in 5 Minutes. No Joke.
1
Direct Pressure. Real Relief.
Compact shape delivers focused pressure right where you need it. Instead of rolling around, you apply intentional compression that gets into tight spots fast.
2
Break Up What’s Stuck
The small, dense design reaches deep into muscles big rollers miss. It helps loosen stiff, overworked tissue so your body can move more freely again.
3
Recover Faster
From long days to hard training, targeted pressure helps improve circulation and reduce lingering soreness—so your body can reset and keep going.
4
Built for Daily Use
Durable, responsive, and made to hold up under real pressure. Use it on feet, hips, back, or shoulders—wherever your body needs consistent relief.
The science hiding in a simple shape.
Small Tool. Smart System.
Follow guided routines that show exactly where to focus, how long to stay, and how to scale pressure using breath and intensity. Precision beats guesswork.
SMR stands for Self-Myofascial Release, a technique where athletes use tools like the Helix, RAD Roller, and massage sticks to apply pressure to muscles and fascia (the connective tissue around muscles) to:
By far, one of the most versatile RAD tools. I try to roll daily and the recovery balls are the first balls I grab in the morning for rolling out my hamstrings, glutes, shins and calf muscles. Perfect tool to use on feet and upper traps. Today I used the balls to give myself a fascia facial. I bought my first pair a few years ago and they have held up, like brand new. Lastly, I find them easy to wash with soap and water. I heard you can put them in the dishwasher, but I'm satisfied with my method. I recently purchased 3 pairs to give as gifts. Full disclosure, I'm a self MFR instructor and my students love them also. They are superior to other brands out there.

Recovery Rounds for the Win
My acro class loved our therapeutic ball session with Yoga Medicine’s Recovery Rounds. I am so happy to share what I experienced in Tiffany Cruikshank’s yoga class at Bend Yoga Festival with my acro community. Our class went extremely well after this special SMR session. Thank you!

Just the right pressure
Using these for my neck pain and it gives good but not too firm pressure along my vertebrae and trapezius muscles when I lean forward and put the ball between neck and wall. Helps to relieve tension and trigger point pain.
The RAD Recovery Rounds are a pair of soft-touch massage therapy balls designed to help calm the nervous system, release muscle tension, and support gentle full-body recovery.
Originally developed through a collaboration between Yoga Medicine and RAD, these recovery massage balls are designed for slower, more relaxing tissue work compared to traditional hard massage balls.
Made from premium medical-grade silicone, the Recovery Rounds provide a softer, more forgiving feel while still delivering enough pressure to release fascia tension, sore muscles, and tight tissue.
Users regularly describe them as the perfect balance — not too hard, not too soft.
The Recovery Rounds are commonly used for:
Neck and shoulder tension
Lower back tightness
Glutes and hips
Feet and plantar fascia
Calves and hamstrings
Pelvic floor and hip mobility
Gentle fascia massage
Yoga and mobility recovery sessions
Many massage therapists, yoga instructors, mobility coaches, and recovery-focused users prefer the Recovery Rounds because they allow muscles to relax during treatment instead of bracing against aggressive pressure.
The smooth silicone surface also helps create gentle skin traction while rolling, making them ideal for fascia-focused massage and mobility work.
Compact, durable, and easy to clean, the Recovery Rounds are designed for daily recovery sessions at home, in the studio, while traveling, or anywhere your body needs tension relief.
Gentle pressure that helps muscles relax: Designed with a softer feel that allows your body to release tension without aggressive pressure or discomfort.
Ideal for nervous system recovery: Great for slower recovery sessions, yoga mobility work, breathwork, and calming tight fascia tissue.
Targets tight fascia and muscle tension: Helps release stubborn tension in the neck, shoulders, glutes, calves, hips, feet, and lower back.
Perfect balance of soft and supportive: Users consistently describe the Recovery Rounds as not too hard and not too soft for everyday tissue work.
Supports mobility and circulation: Gentle rolling pressure helps improve blood flow, movement quality, and tissue hydration.
Great for yoga and recovery sessions: Popular among yoga instructors, massage therapists, mobility coaches, and recovery professionals.
Comfortable for sensitive areas: The softer silicone construction makes them easier to tolerate on tender muscles and chronic tightness areas.
Portable daily recovery tool: Easy to pack in gym bags, recovery kits, carry-ons, and studio spaces.
Medical-grade silicone construction: Durable, skin-friendly silicone provides smooth rolling and easy cleaning after use.
Q: What are the RAD Recovery Rounds designed for?
The Recovery Rounds are designed for gentle muscle recovery, fascia release, mobility work, nervous system relaxation, and soft tissue massage.
Q: How are Recovery Rounds different from traditional massage balls?
Recovery Rounds use a softer premium silicone construction that creates a gentler feel while still delivering effective pressure for muscle and fascia release.
Q: What body areas can I use the Recovery Rounds on?
The Recovery Rounds are commonly used on the neck, shoulders, lower back, glutes, hamstrings, calves, feet, hips, pelvic floor areas, upper back, and traps.
Q: Are the Recovery Rounds good for plantar fasciitis and foot pain?
Yes. Many users use the Recovery Rounds daily for foot rolling, plantar fascia tightness, arch mobility, and calf tension relief.
Q: Can the Recovery Rounds help with chronic tightness or injury recovery?
Yes. Users commonly mention relief for chronic tightness, fascia restrictions, mobility limitations, and recovery from long-term tension patterns.
Q: Are Recovery Rounds good for yoga and mobility work?
Absolutely. The softer pressure profile makes them especially popular for yoga recovery sessions, mobility routines, stretching, and nervous system-focused recovery.
Q: Why do people prefer softer recovery balls?
Softer massage balls can help muscles relax during treatment instead of guarding against excessive pressure, allowing for a calmer and more controlled recovery session.
Q: Are the Recovery Rounds portable?
Yes. Their compact size makes them easy to carry in gym bags, yoga bags, backpacks, or travel kits.
Q: How firm are the Recovery Rounds?
Users often describe them as the perfect middle ground — supportive enough for tissue work while still feeling comfortable and relaxing on sensitive areas.
Q: How do I clean the Recovery Rounds?
Simply wash them with warm water and mild soap after use and allow them to fully dry before storing.
